New products to look for at CARWACS 2015!
On November 17th and 18th, the Convenience U CARWACS Show is coming to Calgary at the BMO Centre.
As Western Canada’s largest convenience, gas and car wash events it is a chance to discover the latest and greatest developments when you peruse the tradeshow floor.
We have it on authority that there are some exciting new products coming to market. To get a sense of what you might expect to see, and what to keep your eye out for, we spoke to Paul Romaniuk, Car Wash Specialist, with Pumps and Pressure.
Established in 1984 Pumps and Pressure is one of the top suppliers of car wash equipment and products in Western Canada, and are a trusted partner of CTM Design.
Cash(less) is king!
Paul Romaniuk says he still remembers when car washes used punch card technology. While many still have coin operated systems, the world is moving toward cashless payment solutions. Debit and credit card self-payment systems are widespread, yet most require users to enter a pin (which can be awkward when leaning out of a car or standing in a wet bay).
Exact One Controls will be showcasing a new ‘Tap and Go’ payment system at this year’s show.
Romaniuk says it’s just like the tap technology used in restaurants and other retail stores – and will work with credit and debit payment. “We’re in a time sensitive business. Being able to do things faster is not only something customers want. It also helps car wash owners speed up throughput.”
Where the rubber meets the road.
Another new product to look for, according to Romaniuk, is a foam brush system specifically designed for tires and rims. With the amount of money people are spending on premium rims, it is a tool whose time has come. The circular shape lends itself well to this specialized, in demand, application.
Bobbles, Brushes and Shammies.
For carwash owners, the CARWACS Tradeshow is like being a kid in a candy store. There are all sorts of product and equipment lines represented. From chemicals to shammies. Payment systems to automation.
Whatever you’re looking for, Paul Romaniuk promises you’ll be leaving with a sample bag that’s bursting at the seams.
Be sure to say hi to Paul and his team at the Pumps and Pressure booth (#100).
