CTM Design Services Ltd. is looking to add a Mechanical Technologist with experience in all facets of mechanical design with respect to commercial/light industrial buildings and facilities.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer; he/she is responsible for:
- Design and drafting of building HVAC and plumbing systems of a commercial and light industrial facilities; based on applicable Building Codes, local regulations, and clients’ standards
- Collection of required design information from municipalities, utility and service providers, manufacturers, etc.
- Communication and coordination with internal multi-discipline teams to ensure proper design
- Providing construction support and performing site audits and construction inspections
Capabilities and Credentials
- University degree or college diploma from a recognized institution for Mechanical Engineer or Mechanical Technologist
- Minimum five years’ work experience as a Mechanical Technologist is required
- Proficient use of AutoCAD is required, REVIT experience is an asset
- Experience on HVAC and plumbing systems is required, independent design ability is an asset
- Team player, detail orientated, aptitude to learn, excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to work under pressure
